Emergency Appeal
Help us accommodate 600 displaced people in safety.
Maccabi Australia together with Maccabi World Union is supporting the Israeli communities affected by the deadly, traumatic and heinous terror attacks on Southern Israel.
With your generous support we will:
- Accommodate 300 displaced people from the affected areas.
- Accommodate 100 family members of injured soldiers & citizens who are hospitalized in Sheba Medical Centre.
- Transform ‘Kfar Maccabiah’ Basketball Hall into an overflow shelter for 200 evacuees.
Hotel, apartment style units and dorm style accommodation, offering full board, will be used to accommodate those in need. A children’s centre and education program has also been developed. Psychological services will be available on site.
The estimated cost per day is $80,000 USD. No gift is too small.
Any level of support will begin helping our fellow Israelis immediately.
The Maccabi family has proudly supported many crises around the world including Ukraine, however, given the enormity of this tragedy and direct impact on our Jewish Homeland, we are directing our efforts to assist our friends and family in Israel.
Our Annual Giving Day scheduled for the 29th of October has been postponed to 2024. This emergency appeal must be our immediate collective priority.
