Hi! I am swimming in memory of John Umansky, a great friend who loved open water swimming.
The Swimathon challenge is to raise funds for two very worthy causes:
• the Maccabi Ajax Swimming Club; and
• Beyond Blue.

For the Maccabi Ajax Swimming Club, the funds raised contribute towards supporting our swimmers on a competitive pathway by providing them with more opportunities to compete at all levels – from Encouragement Meets to District, State, National and International events.
The link between swimming and positive mental health is well established, so we are proud to be supporting Beyond Blue, who will receive one third of the funds raised. Beyond Blue has been providing support and services to people in Australia for over 20 years. They are Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, focused on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide.
